Winter Shipping Pauses December 15, 2026

As winter approaches, The Canadian Pickle Emporium will pause shipping for the season beginning December 15, 2026.

Because our products are packed in glass jars, freezing temperatures during transit can cause jars to crack or break. Courier companies do not provide insurance coverage for glass shipments, and as a small business, we simply cannot risk sending your pickles when temperatures become too cold for them to travel safely.

Shipping will continue as usual until December 15, with weather permitting. We monitor temperatures along shipping routes and at each order’s destination, and if conditions are unusually cold before our seasonal pause begins, we may briefly hold an order until it is safe to ship.

After December 15, shipping will be paused for the winter and will resume in Spring 2027, once temperatures are consistently safe for our jars to travel again.

Thank you for supporting our small-batch, hand-packed Canadian pickles — and if you need pickles to get you through the winter, be sure to stock up before December 15!

Your pickles deserve safe travels! 🥒🥒💚🥒💚

Winter Shipping Pause

To protect your orders from damage during the colder months, our last shipping day for 2026 will be December 15. Shipping will resume when temperatures begin to rise again in Spring 2027.

Because our products are packed in glass jars, freezing temperatures during transit can cause jars to crack or break and may affect the quality of the pickles inside. Unfortunately, courier companies do not provide insurance coverage for glass shipments, so we pause shipping during the coldest months to help ensure your order arrives safely.

Until December 15, we’ll continue to monitor temperatures along shipping routes and at each order’s destination. If conditions become too cold for safe shipping, we may briefly hold your order until temperatures improve.

If you have any questions, please email us at thebigpickle@canadapickles.ca.

Thank you for understanding — your pickles deserve safe travels! 🥒💚
